scooter99
Yes it'll be much easier to work on out of the truck. I did pull the wheels and put her basically on the ground but even still she's so tall I have to work off of a ladder. And it's not even that tall! LOL I'm just short. Most of the motor is off already, minus the egr smog stuff, and then of course the heads and intake manifold. I'm working right now on pulling the front off so I can get into it. That will help with pulling the motor a lot too. Thanks Volvo, I was excited when my wife suggested keeping it as my hobby/project. I was shocked as hell, but excited too. scooter99
Ok guys I know I've been promising pics, and I have them. But I don't have time to really post them up here. I don't have time to even really label them all right now. They're on my facebook page for this build, and here's the link: Ford Beast-350 I know not everyone wants to go look at the facebook page, and I will get the pics up on here too, but I won't be able to for a bit so hopefully that will satisfy some of you until I can do that. Ok I'm off to bed. Goodnight all! Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
goodvibez
You alive bro? Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! scooter99
You alive bro? You alive bro?x2 was interested In this. Hope nothing's wrong man Sorry guys, yes I'm alive. I have about 200 engine break down pics, wanna see some? I've been working a second job for the last couple weeks, on top of both my girls playing soccer this year so soccer practices have been every night but fridays. It's been a busy time in the scooter household. I'm headed to Washington this weekend for some down time and concert fun at the Gorge Amphitheater. Next week, I'll be getting back to the truck. scooter99
First l removed the air intake hoses. The two plugs on this housing need to be unplugged. The camera focused on the wrong thing here. I was trying to focus on the vacuum hoses down below. These will all be replaced. So let's get those out of there. This is the other end of them. I've already had to patch them together because of how brittle they are, the break if you even breathe on them wrong. Next the coil harness needs to be removed. And unplug this harness. scooter99
Then this nutt, I already removed the assembly. This bolt on the header needs to come out to remove this bracket. It's a 10mm (stock is as well, these are stage 8 bolts). And it's out. Oil breather tube needs to come out. Time to remove the valve cover. I was a little tricked on this cause the bolts are held in by a washer type thing on the inside. See how they're still in there. Time to remove the egr valve. EGR Valve tube, goes to the header. scooter99
Valve cover on Valve cover off. If you look close you can see the black washers that are holding the bolts in. Looks like a little bit of oil burn there, but mostly clean inside. Little close up of the bad area. #7's valves. Overall look of the valves. Next I jumped over to the water thermostat neck and upper rad hose. Decided to remove the driver side wheel well liner.
