MACnonsence6 Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 i got a 4th muffler ticket today this is starting to piss me off same cop every time just cause he knows my car. i have 2 mufflers on the car its not even loud. hes saying its louder then factory and when i asked him what that was he couldnt answer me. ive had this same ticket 2 different times did nothing to the car brought it to the barics and had somoene sign off on it. im getting sick of him harrassing me just cause he knows my car, how do i find out what the stock db level is for my 98 neon. i plan to try and find any still on the road and use a db meter app to gather evidence and video documentation to support my claim, ive already had this guys same tickets either thrown out or signed off on, im getting sick of this and im not going to put a factory exaust on just becuase of someones opinions of the asthetics of my car.i looked into it and i dont think its harrassment cause he issues me a ticket everytime i just dont know what to do. I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

Get copies of the tickets you have, & go to the court(s) you have had to send into before, ... then get a hold of your county DA's office & ask who you might speak to, or write to about an officer you feel is harassing you, & that you feel uncomfortable dealing with anyone directly in the department ... Sgt., Lt., etc. Talk on phone, or write a very well-thought out letter & send in ... If no response after a couple weeks, send the same letter back in. Personally, I would send in three ... But go in person on the fifth week with a copy of the letter & who you have sent it to - at that point three times - & then & there you need to speak to someone ... Obviously, if at all possible, show up as early in the day as possible with all sorts of time to spare ... Show that you are willing to wait until whomever is available, ... that you will not be satisfied with a blow off. I think you can figure out the rest ... Be vigilant. Do not feel awkward ... they uphold the laws, yes, ... but the do so at our (the public's) behest, & we have a right to be heard when wrongdoing is thought to be happening ... They certainly want to get up our collective asses when something is thought is going on ... Fuck 'em. Be heard!! Broke_Audio_Addict Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 A lot of states have laws against modying a exhaust in any way shape or form so he could write you the ticket regardless of how loud it is. As for the harrasment I have dealt with harrasment from my local P.D. in the past what I did was call his superior file a complaint and they did an internal investigation. The officer did not get in any trouble at all but after that he never stopped me again for anything . If they realize that you're not just going to take it from them they will leave you alone the officers that choose to do these types of things to people like nice easy targets not people who stand up for themselves. For any Leo's that are on this forum I mean no offence and I do realize the police that are assholes are the few not the majority. I have a few friends in law enforcement and have lots of respect for what you guys have to deal with on a daily basis . That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
