n31l
hey i am trying to figure out how big i should go for my sub. prefab is shit. i was thinking 4 cubes @ 32hz if i put my sub in a bigger enclosure will it be ok with less power then its rated? i been keeping my gain way down so i don't distort the vc. cuz i am only pushing about 800rms @ 4ohm untill i get a 1 ohm stable amp. BigPimpin91
Bigger boxes tend to be more efficient, up to a point. You will be ok with a little less power than R.M.S. Quote BigPimpin91's Banging Music

n31l
also this is my first time doing a t port ive always used aero ports. i always thought areo ports sounded deeper (lower) idk i've read alot on here and that changed my mind. for this sub should i do a slot or areo. VtecDomani
Ive always used aeros as well its easier to change the tuning to your desired frequency, but your specs look good for the slot. Ninja_v1.0
hey man just so you know for that sub i would go with 2.5 cu ft tuned to about 33 or 34 hz. the h2's like smaller boxes. Just something you may want to know. btw, ive been through 9 pairs ( yes that is correct no joke) of h2 12's and i have run them since they first came out. I still run them in the girls daily. If you have any more questions let me know. sensai Quote When your at the top everyone is coming for you, friends, family, haters and even those who don't know you.. my advice.. Boon
Is this for SPL or daily? 4 cubes seems a bit big for a 12'... For SPL try 2 cubes or less with a 6" aeroport. If it's going in the Celica in your sig you should have a reasonably res. frequency ie. 50+ so tune to that. 29hz tuning, while it will play brutal lows, will give crappy numbers. Especially with a 12". Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
Torres
x2 on the tuning. that's kinda low imo. i'd tune to mid to high 30's. if boon says they got a resonance freq of 50 i'd maybe tune to that. or make interchangable ports for both.
