Karkov Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 Do you guys think my Rockford amp will get too hot in this configuration? There will be a second amp on the other half of the shelf. The vent you see right above the batteries is a Air-Conditioning vent which can help, also directly above the amp rack there is two more vents coming from the head liner pointing straight down. I don't compete but even as a daily pounder there isn't much room around them. It is open on the sides and 1"+ alongside the sub box as well so there is *some* room all around them but not much. Also the buss bars are temporary till my TM ones get here. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. Broke_Audio_Addict Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 I ran my t1500 in a tight space like that and it was fine. I really would just try it and keep a close eye on them though to make sure they are ok and add a fan or two if needed. and holy hell that's a lot of tweets. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
Guest Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 that looks impressive how about adding some fans to that rack?
Karkov Posted May 26, 2014 Author Report Posted May 26, 2014 Maybe on the sides I could add a push/pull scenario if need be. Set up looks tighter in real life, in the pic. not so bad. At least it's in an open space and not like a trunk or behind a wall or something, should be able to breath...hrmmmmmm...maybe it will be ok. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq.
