MatthewBigBossWilliams
I have a Hifonics ZRX3000.1d and a KHC2000 in the back. I just ordered a FI SP4 and I was wondering if I should get a bigger battery, add another battery or upgrade the alternator. It is for a 2013 ford focus 5 door
Cj Kumz
I am assuming your amp is 3000rms and 80% efficient, that will mean you need 3750 rms to produce 3000rms. Then we divide 3750/13volts(average) that gives you 288amps. So for 3000rms you need about 288amp. And your current battery is 102amps, so depending on your current alternator size and front battery(assuming parrallel) you need 186amp from them. I would suggest getting a bigger alternator and another battery or 2. Karkov
Do the big 3, upgrade under hood battery, make sure connections are proper, Use good wire, possibly add battery in trunk, then watch voltage with a good voltage meter. If it's dropping lower than you want or than it should, then get a HO alt. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. HHR Ed
Anything over a 1500W amplifier requires an upgraded battery. If you are above 2000-2500W rms, I recommend a 2nd battery as well as a larger alternator. boom50cal
you might as well get an alt now from somebody like Singer Alternators, Mechman, DC POWER, Excessive Amperage... This hobby is one that is a never ending cycle so spending money now will prevent you from spending it later when you could need it for other things On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole. MatthewBigBossWilliams
I would get one but they do not have one for the 2013 model. so I am looking into a bigger battery. I have heard several things about Big 3. Some people say it does not really help that big of a deal.
