Evan12
I have a question about the subwoofer enclosure I am building for my sundown audio zv4 15. My specs so far are: 39 wide 18 tall 18 deep The thing is the subwoofer is far away from the port would this be a problem? It is the center of the other half of the box. Should the subwoofer be in the center of the box? the port is on the side of the box
Cj Kumz
Having the subwoofer far from the port is what is actually recommended. Though in your case it would be best to post a pic so we visualise your enclosure Vw Polo Pioneer Deh-6050UB Sundown Saz-3500d DD Audio 9500 15'' 5.5 cubic feet box with 10 inch port @ 38hz I live to hear the Bass drop!!! Aj11
whenever putting a sub in a vented enclosure you always try to have the sub as far away from the port as possible. this is so the sub doesn't unload into the port. unloading into the port will cause all sorts of issues. to many to list. but if I'm reading your post correctly you should be fine. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
