Now I just gotta figure out how I want to attach them to the bumper and still be removable.... Glassed in some tabs out of S-glass on the back of the turn signal panels. these will hold xmas tree clips to push into "receiving" tabs on the bumper. I opted to do this since the clips will be removable if they break. I'll be glassing the bumper tabs in the next few days. but the first attempt worked out great hard to see, but the tabs are about 1/4" away from the back of the panel. I needed room to be able to slide the clips in. mbdblue Posted August 11, 2014 Author Report Posted August 11, 2014 decided to get tedious... I wanted to avoid filling major gaps with filler. I will be using it, just not in crazy amounts. I'd rather fill with glass. I also did a lot of structural support to some of the extensions I wasn't happy with. Thickened up the bottom and sides of the "mouth" cuz they were too flexible. the tab idea I had worked out pretty well, except the xmas tree clips I have aren't long enough so I ordered longer ones. I'm holding off on drilling the holes for mounting them until those get here. So I'm on the last leg of using glass. I want to make 2 more pieces that mount the "vents" to the car too instead of leaving them floating. It might help with any sag that occurs due to the weight. I'm gonna try and get that done tomorrow so I can finally get this thing in filler and sanding. then finally I can start the audio part....
