IH8PunkRok Posted September 11, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 11, 2014 Have some time to work on my dash again today Now we are down to the nitty gritty meticulous stuff There are a few areas that aren't right that needed fixing. You can see quite clearly in this photo the nasty edges around the HU and how the mount steps out at the bottom left of the tablet. Both of these areas are my target for today First things first I need to square up the bottom corners around the HU in line with the factory line at the top See how far I need to build the area to bring it back into place? So i cut the corner pieces out and began sanding Note also the waves I have on the divider piece between tablet and HU. Those were mainly taken care of through sanding but filler was applied to the low areas at this point I pulled off the plastidip so I could sand properly Then I began filling I used a large amount of filler to extend past where I wanted the body line to be so that I could work it back with the sandpaper and get everything perfect Currently waiting for it to dry.
