Rck'nRF Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 After i bought a 2nd hand sub so i would have two matching ones then getting home, only then do i notice it is a 2ohm instead of a 4ohm..can amp (RF power1000)take running two different impediances?Does this make total 3ohm?
Kyblack76 Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 No SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
GSanders17 Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 Don't do it, each woofer would receive different levels of power and that ain't good.
Rck'nRF Posted June 1, 2014 Author Report Posted June 1, 2014 Thanks and DAM,how could i miss the frigg'n ohm load, now need another amp..
Tecomah Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 Recone it 750??! Yeah, fuck that. Fuck this website, fuck SMD, fuck Steve, fuck all of his butt buddy mods, and their couches.^ DON'T BE A DICK LIKE THIS GUY Team Subsonic Lows
biscuitownz Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 To calculate ohm loads in parallel for future reference use 1/(ohms of one sub) + 1/(ohms of the other sub) = x. Then 1/x to find the final ohm load of the subs in parallel. For series just add it up. In your case it would be 1/2 + 1/4 = 0.75 then 1/0.75 = 1.33 ohms in parallel.
