I plasti dipped my rear fascia of my car and i used masking tape for the places i didnt want paint to get on. Plasti dip worked good but do not let that paint dry and try pull the masking tape off as plasti dip will peal with the tape. You have to pull the tape right after you apply the paint. SOOO frustrating when you need to do multiple coats.

If you try doing multiple coats without it drying first it looks like poo run marks will start as the paint is to wet and thick. And if the paint dries the paint will come off with the tape

do your first coat. it should be fairly light. no need to go heavy yet.

Let it dry for ten minutes.

repeat. try to leave the area close to the tape less covered

on your last coat do a full coverage making sure the tape area is completely coated. immediately after spraying begin to peel the tape. be careful to not let your tape hit the freshly dipped area

I've done this many times and it works well
