So recently one of my punch pro tweets started making some weird/bad noise. I checked it with a dmm and it reads 20+ohms on a 8ohm tweet. Waiting on RF to get back to me about the rebuild kits they made/make for them. Pending price to fix the tweet I might sell my whole punch pro setup and go a different route.

thinking of the RF t3 comps. I have a 80prs and wouldn't have a use for the follow passive crossover. With that being said the plan would be to run the tweets and mids on a t400x4ab.

The only part I don't know is what the rms handling is for the tweet and woofer individually?

the other thing is ill be running 2 t2d415 on 2 t1500.1bdcp at 2ohms. So roughly 3k rms to my subs. Do you think one set of t3 comps would be enough or should I do 2 sets?

no rear speakers in this build and subs will be tuned in the 32-34hz range in a 6.5-7cuft. Did a 142.? With o e of the 15s (sealed on a termlab @ 46hz?) with double cone, way better electrical, deadener along with a better box in hoping for a 145+ at 44-48hz. That's just for reference of what the sub stage will be like to know what I need my doors to keep up with

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

So RF doesn't male rebuild kits for the tweets and its out of warranty.

Forgot to mention they said the way it works is that both the tweeter and mid are rated at the same rms which is the posted rms rating on the website of 125 watts but they don't recommend more then 100watts per when not using the crossover. To me that makes sense because the crossover eats up some of the power so even if your putting in 150watts into the crossover the speakers see less.

so if I get t3 comp set(s) I'll be putting 100watts per tweet and 100 watts per mid.

If my wife doesn't work Sunday I'll hopefully be getting a demo of some t3s in a members car. The guy with the 2 sets of t3 and sound qubed subs packed into a Mitsubishi.

shop in working at has some diamond audio hex h65A comps. Hooked those up to see what they sound like and I've got to say they impressed me. Good quality and the midbass had a great down all the way down to the mid 60s. Can get that set for 385. I'm one of those people that likes their stuff to match though and it would bug the hell out of me not to have my stuff matching.

Just checked the other tweet and mid. Both tweets are done for but the mids are good.

going to double check the tweets with a better dmm (low battery and its like 10years old) to make sure I'm getting an accurate test result. If they test bad again the mids will be up for sale.
