Raptorman Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 6th's are hard as hell to get right. They have a steeper rolloff on both ends than a 4th order. But that doesn't matter a whole lot for us.4th is 24db/oct and I think 6th is 36db/oct, someone correct me if I'm wrong.Enclosure can be decided on once you got subs picked out. High qts woofers will prefer 4th order. Low qts will prefer ported/6th. Woofers with a qts of around ~.5 will be happy in whatever.6th orders will typically have less power handling, it's gonna make those fuckers move.Slot ports are pretty easy to design, in comparison. 4th's are a little tougher but still not too bad.Wasn't a rhyme or reason to my post, was just spewing some general shit I knew.
