Eddy722
How does it sound in the trunk with subs up and ports back?
meade916
i wouldnt have gone subs up port back in a trunk man....hope it works out for you but the other way is probably better. also be careful with those MTX amps, i sliced a chunk the size of an M&M off the tip of my finger messin with those. That silver cover thing is like a razor.......unless they fixed that problem. This was about 8months ago..... mtxcivic07
I guess they must have fixed that problem with the amps meade.. nothing has cut me.. i wasnt going to go port back subs up .. but i wanted 15's.. the clearance room i had to fit the box in the trunk could be at max 15½ inches tall.. as you know a 15" woofer can not fit in a space 15"..so i made the box 15" tall and 21" deep and 38" wide (which is probably about THE biggest size box you can fit into a civic w/o modifying the trunk and what not) I dont know how to fiberglass either so that was out of the question. so i just put the subs up and ported it backwards. it actually hits really deep and sounds very good for only one woofer right now. The other woofer will be here late next week. I will post pics up tonight of the kinetik and subs tonight, gotta charge the camera. 18's in a wall to come....Its not all about the posts....check the member #...
