TRON
I don't think daisy chaining is the same as strapping. You have (4) dual 4s, so what you should do is run two in parallel parallel on one amplifier (coils in par. and drivers in par.) which would give 1 ohm on one amplifier, and do the same with the second amplifier. You'll need a tool to set up both amplifiers to output the same. Make sense? EDIT: Do this on each amplifier. Karkov
Just running multiple sub amps without strapping? MrSkippyJ
So daisy chaining is running amps seperately? Karkov
So daisy chaining is running amps seperately? I don't know man, I am asking as well, I am also making assumptions as we speak, lmao! 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. TRON
So daisy chaining is running amps seperately? Pretty sure its just running an amplifier off of the pass through of another. Meade has a video of setting up daisy chained amps I think. MrSkippyJ
I see. RCA from headunit into first sub amp, then RCA output from that amp is the input for the second amp? In that case daisy chaining has no effect on impedance. tacomaguy1
^ that Wasn't sure what he meant, some people interchange the terms Daisy chain you'll need to gain match the amps Team Flex Issues

nvarano
Owner of a local shop I talked to a couple hours ago said if I daisy chained "or strapped pick which one you want" my amps each running at one ohm would have an end total impedance of 2ohms. Which is what I would want in order to wire four dvc 4ohm subs.
nvarano
The terms daisy chain and strap can be interchanged, different manufacturers and distributors, I have found, use either term depending on what side of the bed they woke up on
