noobslayer77 Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 I have a box tuned to 30 hz. Considering an amp with a selectable subsonic filter so i can set it to 25, the other amp i was considering has a set filter at 30 hz. the first has a remote bass boost, the latter has a remote gain knob. both put out the same power. Will i really notice a difference in the amp with the selectable subsonic filter? Thanks 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries

notorious97200 Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 bass boost is useless generally. If you want to use a remote, get a gain remote ;-) if possible. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. JEFFYBOI Posted July 1, 2014 Report Posted July 1, 2014 When your down in the 25 hz range your pushing more air then anything so to the human ear you wont notice really anything but more flex and air movement. Unless you got some subs that get really low and nasty i wouldnt even worry about it "Toyota Camry rebuild page 21 (link)http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183768-94-crossfire-camry-18s-walled-singer-alt-has-arrived-rebuild-starts-pg-10/page-21 PIONEER DEH-P8400BH 2 CROSSFIRE C5 1700D 2 CROSSFIRE C7 18 HOOD. noobslayer77 Posted July 1, 2014 Author Report Posted July 1, 2014 i have 2 13w7s in a 30 hz box. I def wanna be able to push some air. I was considering a 1200/1 but they only have a bass boost knob. they do have a 25 hz subsonic filter. the other option is a HD1200. it has a gain knob, but a set subsonic at 30 hz. Recommendations? I know JL is overpriced, but its between those 2. 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries

Its just a little extra feature to have to control your gain. As far as subsonic filter the one you can adjust down to 25 hz isnt going to really make much of a difference. I dont think its worth worrying about, i would be looking more at what amp is better rated for the price instead of what amp has knobs and subsonic filters and ect. Just my opinion. noobslayer77 Posted July 1, 2014 Author Report Posted July 1, 2014 alright. so basically either amp is going to work just fine. I do like the idea of having the gain knob so i can turn it down, and they make people shit themselves when i hit it. the HD amp is smaller. both do a little over rated. the HD is also slightly cheaper. thanks for the help! 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries
