cole00c7r
During most all of my building I always had help from my friends........ a huge thanks to all of them....even when they troll the crap out of me haha, so a huge thanks to them and everybody else who helped me build! Good thing one of them has a truck haha or I would have had to make multiple trips to the Depot to get mdf. The sheets fit perfect in the bed, this is only a couple sheets. I bought about 7-8 haha While I was there I got some threaded inserts and allen bolts along with some new router bits! cole00c7r
Alright, so I have made three single sub enclosures while i was waiting for my second sub to come in. I didnt take many pictures of them because they were just temporary. Once I received my second sub I built two enclosures so i will post both of them up. Here is the start of the baffle, I only did a double baffle. I used screws and tightbond two. Here is a picture of my twins lol they are huge! They are dusty but oh well, I cleaned them off later....also hide your eyes from the hideous box they are on! This is the first enclosure I built, it was tuned to around 28hz using Torres but it didnt have enough net volume, I loved the port because I could crawl into it and I could float hats and towels in it! I know that it is frowned upon to put your amp on the enclosure so I did anyway lol for about a week, then I relocated it to somewhere safe!!! I also didnt have the gain set anywhere near where it should be for full output. I ran just the one set of power into the amp from the XS power d3100 because I was going to change it a week after. After about a week I decided that I wanted to make another box because this one was just off and didnt have the range I wanted so I started to build a new enclosure. I designed it using Torres and some math! I didnt get very many pictures at first but here they are. Here are some 45s I sealed up the box and i used my flush trim bit to cut out the port. Here is a picture of adding a new double baffle and port bracing! I also used the sub for weight lol \ There is my most current picture of my box, I have added some more bracing and some other little things. This weekend I am going to start on door pods so I will update when I have pictures! Jeff4661
Looks pretty good so far man ? . If I may ask.. why Did you do the 2 ground runs from the battery back? Instead of just grounding to the frame in the rear? Regardless I'm tuned in Current build 05 Yukon SLT http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195350-jeffs-05-yukong-wall-build/

Regardless I'm tuned in Thanks for looking, I did the two runs back just because really, I wanted a good ground I guess haha, also If I was going to upgrade soon I could always throw some wire loom on the wire so it was all the same color and use it for more positive runs back. cole00c7r
Ok so recently I realized that my rotors had some deep gouges/ groves in them, so i purchased an EBC brake kit, I figured it would be a good idea also because I will be adding more weight and be getting bigger wheels. I was very happy with the quality of the rotors and the green pads that came with them. Here are the front This is the rear After I had removed the rear rotors i noticed that my park break shoes were worn down all the way past the brake compound lol so I replaced them also! Now my Parking brake actually works haha Dirty Dirty Rotors Fresh new rotors! I didnt get very many pictures of the other side because I noticed that my oil seal on the axle was leaking, so I had to unbolt the back of my rear differential and pull the axles out, then I sealed it all back up after I replaced the seals. I used copper high temp gasket when I put the cover back on the diff along with the oem paper gasket, So far so good! Here is the front rotor! After I installed the new rotors and pads I followed the break in procedure that EBC recommends and the brakes feel better than ever!
