So, I did a quick rebuild in my friends G35. What do you guys think?

I forgot to take a pic of the before, but it was 2 CVR 12s in a normal prefab sealed box with the amp mounted on the top with 1 screw (Crunch powerzone 2000), with the wires all spaghetti like.

So I came up with a design him and I liked. It included a 6 inch aeroport firing through the rear ski pass.

Started like this:

Nice work

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.

It looks good. Here comes some constructive criticism...the LEDs should be mounted to the edge of the plexi and the plexi should have a frame painted around the edge to hide the weather stripping. I know the trim piece covers it, but its the details. Also, I can't really make out the twisted red pretzel initials..is it GVA ?? Dont care for that too much.

Otherwise pretty good work. How does it sound in the car?

Thanks for the criticism! next time, the window will definately be sprayed black around the edges. and Yeah its GVA. I would like to own my own shop someday and that would be called Good Vibrations Audio. So i was just screwing around with a logo lol. The owner of the car liked it so I painted it and tossed it in.

Nice work

Thanks man!

It sounds a lot louder and plays better than the sealed box. The look on his face when he heard it first was priceless. The rearview mirror doesnt stay up anymore lol. Video is in the last link of original post.

Looks pretty good, I'm a huge fan of those CVR's. GVA logo looks good and the giant port peeking out of that ski-hole is great

Only criticism to offer is on the inside, is that carpet lining the interior? I may be wrong here but I'd think carpet would absorb some of your bass. Might be better off painting the interior instead, black or white would look great with all the red and chrome!

It is carpet lining. the goal was to look "meant to be there" with the leds off. The carpet could be absorbing some bass, but Its only felt, and I wanted to do something different. I feel for the tiny bit of bass that may have been lost with the felt, Its worth the way it looks in my opinion.
