AMM1 ?
MaxVolume replied to mothra's topic in D'Amore Engineering - High Quality Car Audio Installation Tools & Accessories
in most cases i would never think of emailing the inventor of a product for help with a companies quality control, but with this particular product it's a small high end market so he might take that sort of thing seriously sonicelectronix is an old company tho that I've had good service from, so you might be the rare case that gets shitty service if i were in this situation, I'd try to get my money back and place an order from another dealer promoted by the site, wccaraudio, droppinhz, sky high, or others I'm not remembering edit: oh and the chances of two Ferraris in a row being lemons? a lot more likely than you think haha -

what dealer are you using? sounds like one to avoid if they can't test a product before shipping... especially when they have to send ANOTHER unit due to issues with the first... -

i'm digging the crown, how else would you know he's the king? also....both finalists using DC audio subs? might have to rethink this rebuild...... -
second skin themselves answered, nuff said but really I just put that stuff anywhere there's rattles, be it the metal behind my door or rear deck, or just plastic pretty pieces. brand new car had a plastic trim panel (around seat belt, directly behind driver head) that would buzz like a bee hive on the highway, no bass.... couple thin strips of damp pro and made sure all screws were tight, no rattle for 6 months and counting

Wow if that amp puts out even 8-900 I'd be more than happy. I got the amp in exchange for some work so I didn't exactly shop for it or anything. And the double baffle would be great for flush mounting the subs, but for a first build I know I should try to keep it simple. -

well, I was going to try for a 3 common wall port (like the looks of them myself) but after seeing your model I think I like that style better for this purpose! The extra baffle however probably isnt necessary right? Are 2 12" CVR's going to have the punch to need that extra layer? -

Awesome! Thanks for your quick help, I may play with the numbers a bit, but it's nice to have some experienced input for a first time project!
