Robert8252
Wondering that as well, but I don't have one to compare to. I believe the SA has a bigger motor but I don't know that for a fact. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
dekciw
Yeah that's what I was thinking...SQ's 8's might be better for the f150 application since depth is the problem
Robert8252
Well, after adjusting the subsonic it's definitely improved. I think the box is just getting the mechanical limits out of the sub, the cone is barley warm after beating the snot out of it through a song. I think the truck is peaking higher than I thought so u might get another PVC pipe and see what happens around 28-29hz. I'm really happy with the output I'm getting, just need to control the cone better. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
g2shuck
I know there site says to to 1.25 for the 8 but even 1 cube seems way to big for an 8. Anyway you can decrease the volume to like 0.75 and retest the cone control? 2000 Toyota Camry With Sealed Off Trunk Sky High OFC Wiring DC Power 270 XP Alt AQ 2200 Sub Amp Two DC Level 4 m2 12s 80 Mil Murdetmat Gathering Parts For Wall Build. Robert8252
That or try a 3" aero. I just don't want to lose the output it has but will definitely try a couple things. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
Robert8252
Listened to some more songs I know every part of and I don't think its necessarily under tuning. I managed to get it to unload even around 40hz with the right note. Going to try a 3" aero this weekend as well as a lower tuned 4" and go from there. It's happening on really strong and quick notes, for example in the song Hood Nigga by Zoe the solid bass line has slight peaks in it which is where I'm having problems and not just the steady note. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
g2shuck
Exactly to me it sound like the box is to large to keep the cone under control 2000 Toyota Camry With Sealed Off Trunk Sky High OFC Wiring DC Power 270 XP Alt AQ 2200 Sub Amp Two DC Level 4 m2 12s 80 Mil Murdetmat Gathering Parts For Wall Build. Robert8252
Took the box down to .85 and not much improvement. Going to take it down to .75-.78 tomorrow and see what happens. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
