timc31610
Truthfully, it is kind of difficult to critique without all of the needed info. Post up your port size and length, what it is tuned to, amp info and such. And while it may fit perfectly in your car that doesn't mean that it fits your sub or goals perfectly. Evnldr
Port size will be 4" tuned to 34 I think off hand its 4X8 round. 72cf of port. Was also thinking 3.5X8 or so to get a tune of 34. Amp is a Orion 6002 But will be replaced with a Skar T-1400. Box is my calculations 2.72 So 3.5 X 5.6, or 4x7.8 not sure about port size really Old set up.. 2003 PTGT 350WHP .. Krakin
When you copy the URL click on the little picture in the reply then paste in there and click okay. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. Evnldr
Ok box is done it is 2.3 CF now What do you recomend a 4"x9.62" ( I can use a 4" elbow cut down) Or a 3" x 4.66 and no elbow needed.. What would be the best option? Old set up.. 2003 PTGT 350WHP .. Sold Orion 600.2 ED 16ov.2 MTX 4205 Focal Pollyglass Clarion VZ309 New 2005 Subaru Legacy Wagon. Joe X
A 4" even with the elbow would be better, you see, single 4" round ports are generally recommended for 10" subwoofers, a 3" port for that 12" sub would be a total failure on way less than it's rated power.
