Arnold55 Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 What's up smd, Just purchased a new db drive a7m 1250.1 I currently have 2 cvrs on it that I had laying around. However I am going to be purchasing some sundown 12s. I will be running the amp at 1ohm stock electrical. My question is what series would work best for me, either the E or SA. Its going in a Mitsubishi Galant. I plan on building an enclosure 3-3.5 ft^3. I do not have a lot of room to work with so my second question is if an aeroport would work the best. The back seats do not fold down but there is an arm rest that folds down that allows room between the trunk and cab. Not really worried about numbers as this is just a daily just want it loud and clear. Thanks in advance for any input.

afrakes Posted July 11, 2014 Report Posted July 11, 2014 Sa series, but you should really monitor voltage before you crank that setup, drop your voltage really low, and blow all you equipment. Look into at least the big 3 and an upgraded Bart under hood. Vehicle: 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD WT Head Unit: Pioneer DEH- Mids/Highs: Focal Integration ISC 165’s (front) Subs/Amps: TBD

Arnold55 Posted July 12, 2014 Author Report Posted July 12, 2014 thanks for the feedback guys, also what do you guys think about some soundqubed 12s? should i just spend the extra cash and go sundown? and what did you guys think about the box idea? should i just go with a vent port?
BigManAC Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Soundqubed just came out out with their new lines and so far I have only heard good things about them. Im looking at getting the HDS3 12 for a friend. The HDS3 have a 3'' voice coil vs the SA which is a 2.5'' and also have twice the power rating. However I only have personal experience with the SA 12 as of now and my friend was happy with two of them on a SQ 1200 in his VW Passat. If you are pressed for space then an areo port would be the way to go. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
Joe X Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 thanks for the feedback guys, also what do you guys think about some soundqubed 12s? should i just spend the extra cash and go sundown? and what did you guys think about the box idea? should i just go with a vent port? Soundqubed requires larger boxes (above2 cubes net per sub), SA-12s would work on 3.5 net, if you want subs that work in smaller airspace DC level 2 or some RF or Alpine 5th generation will work in 3-3.5 net.
