I had 2 wires from the big 3 done (engine block and battery new run) and just got my wire to finish my last run from alt to bat pos. Before I installed the last run my voltage charged at 14.4 or 14.5 and dropped to about 12.6 to 12.7 lowest. In order to connect my last run to the alt I had to disconnect my factory wire because the bolt on the alt wasn't long enough for the factory lug and the SHCA lug to be attached. So after doing the big 3 my voltage sits at 13.3 or 13.2 highest and I'm almost positive my grounds and connections are perfect. It drops to about 11.7-11.8 worst now. Why am I not charging at 14.4? The bolt on the alt is only like 3/4 of an inch so it's hard to get both fittings on.
