fecupe2001
i built something with 2 12w0´s on a jl 500/1 , did 144 @ 44 hz, sounded really good for those subs, box was 4.2 c/f and 3 4" aeros btw , i wouldn´t buy those subs EVER, way too expensive for what they are, better options out there for sure, but they ain´t that terrible either I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Ric Thornton
AJ nice to meet you. I actually never said that either was loud... Just that two 8"s could be just as loud as those two twelves in the right enclosure. I have an SPL box as well I can also try. For fun. You see the name I'm under as pulse car audio. Well pulse is gone. Its OK. Now I have fun again when I get on here. When doing this little "test". That being said. 130 dB is loud over a long period of time. Obviously 140 is louder and so on and so forth. So just BC it was not a test or a game resulting in a 180db doesn't mean it was not a successful one. I proved my point and I'm happy with it. Aj11
I'm not sure i got my point across the right way. i wasn't making Fun or being sarcastic to you in any way! I'm damn proud that you hit that number with so very little! i cant stand kids who don't respect this sport. or that think well i have this many subs and this many watts so I'm louder! you have brought me allot of joy by proving your point! i was making Fun of the kids you proved wrong( poorly) any kid who thinks a few w3s is loud needs to get out more. it's my pleasure to have met you! jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
Ric Thornton
Hey sir. The point was no matter what brand. No matter what size. ANYTHING can be loud if done right. The best sub in the world can be beaten by the worst if in the wrong box. Lol Example: once I used a 3500.00 woofer in a ported box for SPL. Did a 159.0, same setup just swapped that 3500.00 woofer for a 300.00 woofer and did a 158.8 Nice to have met you too
Aj11
i always Try.and tell kids the same thing! the box is more important then the sub and amp combined. you can take a $10,000 sub and 40,000w but if you have it In a crap box that's what you get! crap! that said you Can also take a $100 sub on 600w And make it sound like a world class set up. that's why i saved this post to my favs. i will use what you did time and time again to prove to kids it's the box. i have allot of respect for what you did. i really think doing a 14+ on 200w is more impressive then 4 18s on 5000w doing a 155 jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

Karkov
damn, late to the party, was never gonna guess above 140 though, props. In high school guy had 6 - 12" JL W0 in a sealed wall S10, wasn't loud on ear o meter (forget what amp) another guy had 2 - 12" Xtants on an Xtant amp, metered 144.x in a 1992 Eagle Talon (hatch) and it sounded nice (and loud) Sometimes it just is what it is 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq.
