whaddup guys.. after building a few custom enclosures and having the carpet come loose i got ballsy and used a different type of glue. somehow the glue expanded while it cured and pushed out the edge of the seam. i really dont want to re-carpet the entire box but this looks ugly as hell. from where i see it i have 2 options, either find some trim that matches,, or cut off about 1/2 inch section and wrap a new piece around the corner like a patch. from your guy's expierience what do you think would look better

picture coming soon.. once i figure this out

What type of carpet is that and what type of glue did you use? next time try and avoid putting the seam right on the edge for reasons like the issues you are having. I think at this point if you tried to cut out a piece and patch it you might make it worse I would either rip it all off and try over or make a trim panel painted to match your car or something to hide it.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

the carpet is outdoor use carpet for patios n sht.. glue is 3m headliner adhesive. i used the super 77 on the last enclosure and it didnt hold as well as id like it to, for some reason that top seam is the only one that spewed out this new stuff, everything else is smooth and tight.

Angled aluminum or something from home depot or wherever could glue right over that and might look kinda cool. That's probably the route I would go.

id first suggest 3M 90 spray adhesive for next time..

then maybe trim the glue and try the "cigarette burn" kinda fix... where you cut off the fuzzy part of some extra carpet and "sprinkle" it onto the messed up areas with a little super glue????

looking again if you had to do the whole seem might be fucked up-
