alaskanzx5 Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 If you have 33" width, subs are what 13.5 outside diameter? 2 puts them at 27" leaving 6" which is enough for up to a 5.25" wide port. Then if you have 18" tall the port ends up being able to go up to 5.25 x 16.5 should be plenty for 2 12s. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

jonathancullen89 Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 finally! i had to do two boxes because otherwise once big wouldnt fit. Also you would be a lot happier with output if you sealed off the rear of your trunk. Bet that one sub sounds muddy and peaky. Your losing a lot by not having it sealed from the rear 1992 cavalier build 1992 blazer s10 kenwood cd hifonics hfi2500d 6 soon to be 12 12" hifonics hfi12d4's shit ton-o-wire Blurred Vision Audio Team SMD feedback/refs. clicky!-
alaskanzx5 Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 Can do it like this but to use the room better do a single chamber box with a port on either the driver side or passenger side. From what I've read port on driver side usually gives better results on a meter. Not sure on that one though. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
jonathancullen89 Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 The trunks are small, its a BISH to build it in the trunk. only reason i did it like this. I had about 3.5" from rear of box to back of trunk. 1992 cavalier build 1992 blazer s10 kenwood cd hifonics hfi2500d 6 soon to be 12 12" hifonics hfi12d4's shit ton-o-wire Blurred Vision Audio Team SMD feedback/refs. clicky!-
rsfm089 Posted August 13, 2014 Author Report Posted August 13, 2014 that's my box now if it gets longer I can't fit in my extra battery and amp in trunk I really don't want them in my back seat I will post a pic of how my old box was and I had to bust the seats out to fit it in
rsfm089 Posted August 13, 2014 Author Report Posted August 13, 2014 I can't go any wider cause of the wheel wells that box with the R's was a little over 4cubit feet
jonathancullen89 Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 go taller and deeper, should be able to fit your battery in the rear behind wheel well. otherwise id rather have a battery in the back floor then your sub box just sitting there. i made mine a little wider thats why the box was set back a little bit so i could have the extra width. 1992 cavalier build 1992 blazer s10 kenwood cd hifonics hfi2500d 6 soon to be 12 12" hifonics hfi12d4's shit ton-o-wire Blurred Vision Audio Team SMD feedback/refs. clicky!-
