marzbomber888
In actually using a different place called "t Rex audio" in Stratford ct. I'm having tuned to 30hz and he said he take care of the rest. I hear a shop built system running American bass and two dc audio 12 inch leve 5s. It was insanely loud and low so I hope he can do the same for me It will be ported with a slot port which is what jl calls for
Aj11
jl is the worst at "recommended" box designs!they make there boxes to small with little port so it's not as loud as the sub can get. which makes you buy more of there product! like a plastic surgeon saying well your chin.surgery was a great.success..but we really do something about that nose! keep on wanting And they'll keep.selling! jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

notorious97200
30 is kind of low ! You will loose output on most bass notes with your 10"s. I did not say it's too low for your taste, only for mine ! I would try something like 33 HZ, with enough net volume. Those w7s are very good subs. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.
gr8handogoatness
JL is not crap, just expensive. W6 and w7s are great subs, really everything they make is quality stuff, but you can get better for the money. That's my only beef with JL. Can you get loud and low? Yes no question. As every one has said, get you a good ported box and they will slam loud and low. I like to tune around 32hz usually. Bigger box for low and smaller for flat response. That's just how I have found my taste to be.
