Retnuhbackwords Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 I recently bought my first subwoofer and I'm extremely impressed. It is a JL CP108W3V3, its a 8W3V3 put into a small ported box. They call it the microsub, and they aren't kidding. It fits into the backseat my 04 GMC 2500 crew cab with plenty of space left over. The system really kicks for its size, an it is very accurate an clean. I didn't want my first system to be able to shake any houses but I wanted it to enhance my music listening experience which it does amazingly well. The system is powered by a Kenwood X500-1 amp , I bought it an the system from a local audio shop. They recommended it to me once they heard what I wanted to be able to do. Now to me this system is pretty incredible, but since I'm extremely new to car audio I'm not sure if there was any other better beginner systems out there. Thanks guys, oh an I payed 240 bucks for the system an 215 for the amp. Omega5002 Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 I honestly think it's a good beginner system, something simple that sounds clean and doesn't take up space. hispls Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 I'd like to have read that you used JL amp as well. A bit better quality and will definitely hold a better re-sale value. If it sounds good it is good through, and you didn't buy junk so expect reasonable longevity and good performance from that assuming you're not abusive.
