Well the sanding was so the port wall inside the baffle would be flush against the actual box. Look below in the circles, more specifically the pink one where the double baffle meets the box wall it wasn't even and had a ledge probably 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch would I assume would be bad for the air flow, so I sanded it.

Yeah, that was a good idea to sand that flush, like you said, it would be bad for airflow to have a ledge there. For future reference, if you have access to a router you could use a flush trim bit to trim that inside edge (or any edge) flush with the piece beneath it in like 30 seconds.

Looks really clean, nice job.

I am puzzled though on why you said you didn't glue one of the sides and your baffle though? You mentioned not doing it due to needing to install bolts for wire connections, but that can be done through the sub cutout lol. Such a long wait on your woofer and alt, that would drive me crazy! Gives all the time in the world for perfecting everything on the box and having the car completely ready to plug and play though.

Yeah it's just easier to access from the side then from the top. Haven't decided where the brass bolts are going yet. The top baffle isn't on because I didn't get around to it and still somewhat trying to figure out if cutting the top piece out more so the woofer will mount flush. Not sure if it'll be strong enough that way to support the Zv4.
