Why is my coils smelling

Even if set with a dd1 you can still clip if your playing song below tuning. Say your tuned to 35hz...play a song is the 20s coils will still heat up

What? Please explain how that works.

tune your amp for what u like to play so if u like low notes tune ur amp a little lower but still, keep in mind the specs on ur subs

I'm NOT OP, I don't need advice on pre-amp settings, but I would like an explanation of how an amp begins to clip if you play below box tuning.
