New to car audio!! In the process of building an affordable sq system, with some damn good thump!

So far i purchased two FI Q 12's dual 2 ohm, no cooling, no chamfer, high qts yes, heat ring yes, rms 1500..

Now searching for (2) clean, and effecient mono amps to push them seperately. Really interested in rockford fosgate, but not sure which ones to use as they have several lines to choose from. I am leaning towards the rf t1000 bd or the t1500 1bdcp.. Will the t1000 (birthsheets usually around 1300+rms) be enough or just right? will these subs reached their potential on this amp? Or will the t1500 (birthsheets 1800+rms) be perfect or too much for these subs? Any positive direction i cn get pointed towards is appreciated fellas!

SQ huh ... I'd go with a single class A/B 2 channel mono and run those subs at 8 ohms ... 28 htz tuning should make for an impressive setup if done correctly ...

Cablguy, what brand would you recommend for an amp in this class? Also are you suggesting 1 or 2 amps? Minimum/maximum rms rating? Im learning not to under-power subs but dont hv a clue what will not be enough, and what is too much?? My budget for sub amp is around $600 if that helps..

Thanks fellas for chiming in

those subs are rated at what 1250/1500w rms? so i would get a solid 2500w amp. you can get a real nice sundown 2500/3000 for under 6 or a DC 3k for under $600.

I'd go with almost anything but.

i can't justify spending $600 for 1800w... not when you can get almost 4,000w for $600
