smalltownbigsound Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 I jumped in my jeep yesterday to go for a cruise. I turned on the radio and no bump. I checked for power. It gets power all the way to the amp, but it won't turn on. All fuses are good and remote wire is good. Any ideas?

smalltownbigsound Posted September 8, 2014 Author Report Posted September 8, 2014 Pulled cover nothings burnt and it doesn't smell burnt. I have power from the radio to the amp. So the remote wire isn't the the issue. I have power from both batteries and all three of my fuses are good. The only thing I can think is a loose connection some where inside the amp. But I couldn't see anything and I don't even know where to look in the amp.

831Arevalo Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Connect the remote wire to the amplifiers power input and see if the amps turn on. If so it might be the remote wire. I had the same issue. The headunit remote wire didnt work.

Ritch40 Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 As suggested, double check that you have proper voltage and proper grounding at the amp. If you do, I'd be willing to bet that something in the switching circuitry inside the amp failed. I had a PPI amp recently do the same thing to me and I know that's whats wrong with it.
