ToNasty Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 You are extremely limited here. These trucks have hardly any room behind or under the seat. Best bet would be something shallow like a sundown sd2 sealed ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
barobbin Posted September 25, 2014 Author Report Posted September 25, 2014 I was thinking something along those lines. possibly glass a box behind the back seat so i can get more air space. I am leaning toward the Stereo integrity, does anyone have experience with it? also, I have to kicker 15" L7's dual 4ohm that I forgot to mention. I will probably sell these to fund other stuff. Does anyone have experience with "average" systems in a crew cab? thanks for your help
SWIFT Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 If you remove the small section of the rear seat you can do a arm rest style box and still get 2 people back there. If you dont want to do that you have room for maybe two 10's behind the rear seat. The power window motor is in the way and also the jack, etc. The stock sync SUCKS balls in mine so I ditched the stock head unit. Pac makes a plug in adapter that is around 150 bucks that allows you to retain steering controls, etc. You MUST have this as there is no remote wire going to the factory unit to go off of. The truck is 100% ECM controlled. I went from haveing a single 15 and a component set to all out basshead in my 2012. 2012 F250 Lariat 6.7, lifted on 22's and 35's 4 DSS Ethos 18's walled tuned low 2 Ampere Audio 7500.1's, Ampere 125.4 Rockford Pro Audio front stage 9 batteries, Mechman Elite 370 alt Team DSS, Team Ampere Audio 2014 Meca Mod 3 TN State champ / 3rd place Mod 3 World Finals

barobbin Posted October 1, 2014 Author Report Posted October 1, 2014 thanks for the input guys. if I go with a new head unit, I want it to be a really nice one with a big nav screen, back up camera and good quality audio processing. what is a good choice? and swift, your truck looks awesome man!!
barobbin Posted October 2, 2014 Author Report Posted October 2, 2014 so for the sub setup, I am thinking a SA-8 v.2 or 10" right behind my center console, on the floor, kinda like this box: http://www.supercrewsound.com/08F250CCconsole.html sundowns website says ported should be .5-.75 ft^3 @35hz for the 8" and 1-1.25 @35hz for the 10" and from what I've read, you shouldn't put this sub in a sealed box as it wouldn't be able to perform to its potential. What are yalls opinions? and could someone design an enclosure for me? I've looked into the box design software and couldn't find one that works well with a mac. also should I order 4ohm dvc or 2ohm dvc? and what amp to go with it? I don't have an amp for the sub yet and i would like to invest in a quality amp that i could use for this application and possibly repurpose down the road.
