brent379 Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 so im almost done with my door panels...first time ever doing them. im kind of torn between getting them vinyl wrapped or getting some SEM textured coating and spraying them. i would rather have them vinyl wrapped but i have no idea how much that would cost. how much have you guys spent getting your doors vinyl wrapped?? just want a general idea. i know each place is different and availability for vinyl is a huge factor also. i live in phoenix az tho so i know vinyl is definitely available.
islandpride684 Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Man, where the pics at? I got a quote for 60 a door...not from a shop tho but from a guy who does it in his garage....legit work too Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
brent379 Posted September 27, 2014 Author Report Posted September 27, 2014 im going to be posting a little build log here in a month or so when i get them done! cause i also got a new box im going to build with an octoport i got a TON of pics ill be putting up. these door panels have been one hell of a journey man... for my first time doing door panels i don't think i could have made it much harder on myself lol. i didn't do just pods....i did completely re did the entire center of the panel. plus i really liked my pocket...so! i basically cut my factory pocket down and made my own fiberglass mold and what not. if it wasn't for the pocket these would have been done a while ago. plus first time doing them you make mistakes and have to fix them. its been time consuming and i will be so glad to get them done. but 60$ per panel aint bad at all. id pay that. if it weren't for the pocket i would attempt vinyl wrapping myself but im not quite that comfortable trying it yet. was that guy in Arizona?

brent379 Posted September 27, 2014 Author Report Posted September 27, 2014 ya ive been looking at some pics of it and i found where i can get it locally so i want to get a can and test it out and see if i like it. all the pics ive seen look pretty good! grain looks a little different then whats in my car but i wander if you can get a different kind of grain out of it by spraying it lighter/heavier.
