bcbrassard
So your doors are 6.5" factory right? I know some have 6x9 & 8" Are you fiber glassing anything like kick panels, A-pillars? The RF 8 are subs but I am pretty sure if crossed over right they could be used as midbass if you know how to tune the system right. Posting pics of your interior would help for others to chime in. So to get this straight, your wanting 6.5s front and rear, 8" midbass in kick panels. no subs in rear and tweeters up front. Looing at your HU if you got the 80-PRS for $40 more you would have better tuning of your entire system. Not sure what the capabilities are of the HU you selected. Amps seem good, speakers will get loud because there pro audio so you definitely want to be able to tune them well. Amp for the 8" seem with in the P3s power ratings. Entire system has more to do with how it installed then what your installing. Proper install and deadening can make cheap equipment sound good. Where bad install of high end equipment will still sound like shit. Might want to look into sound deaden and watch some vids or look thru members builds to see how others have done there installs on a similar truck. Hardest part is coming up with a sound plan on a budget. You are off to a good start though. Tons of guy here to help make good suggestions. Joseph Chambers
OK so let me get into this. So your doors are 6.5" factory right? I know some have 6x9 & 8" Are you fiber glassing anything like kick panels, A-pillars? The RF 8 are subs but I am pretty sure if crossed over right they could be used as midbass if you know how to tune the system right. Well there are car audio places all over the place and I would just have them install it. The reason I am buying online is here is because in Tijuana its expensive. Labor is cheap though. Posting pics of your interior would help for others to chime in. So to get this straight, your wanting 6.5s front and rear, 8" midbass in kick panels. no subs in rear and tweeters up front. I will post some pics tomorrow and browse the forum for simular installs. Looing at your HU if you got the 80-PRS for $40 more you would have better tuning of your entire system. I am looking at the Pioneer DEH-80PRS now. I guess if I can cut XM radio it would even out. Entire system has more to do with how it installed then what your installing. bcbrassard
Thank you, just trying to pass on the help that others have given me. Look forward to pics of truck as well, its a good tool for others to use to help out. 80-PRS is a solid HU, set up the system right and you'll have a nice ride that you can enjoy listening to tunes in. Tuned in.
Joseph Chambers
Hello, I finally spent 1000 bucks today. I bought a lift kit and some sounds which you can see my list below. I am still trying to figure out what am I going to put in the kickers for mid bass. What are some good options for the midbass? Tomorrow I will run and take pictures of the inside. x4 Orion CM64 6.5" x2 Orion CM84 8" x1 Orion XTR600.4 1200W x4 Orion XTW350NE 1.25" 360W XTR EQ: Clarion EQS746 HU: Kenwood DNX5120 <-- USED BUT W/E His suggestion is this: Per door x1 8" and x1 6.5 and I will have x2 6.5s in the rear. The two front doors will have 2 tweeters. So I found a installer local (Tijuana) who likes the Orion brand. Actually he used to work for West Coast Customs, Mexico and he looks like he does good work. So we will see. He will be fiberglassing the doors. Do you need to use deadening if you fiberglass your doors?
