I purchased a black bullhide leather belt from A&G leather on Hugh G rection's recommendation and I couldn't be happier this belt is beautiful. Its so stiff I got bitchslapped when I opened the box it came it.

Its a 1.5" wide belt with steel reinforcements in it so hanging my 1911 from my belt isn't an issue anymore.

How would you compare it to other gun belts you've owned? Went to the site and they look awesome....

I know you've only had it a minute so a true review can't be made.

This is my 1st dedicated gun belt but in the few hours I have had this thing I love it. It doesn't bend at all when I put my 1911 on. Its a beautifully crafted work of art and I love the fact that it's handmade by a guy here in the U.S. His belts are fantastic and so is his service :)

I talked to him on the phone and he told me a few of his customers have been wearing the same belt for 10-15 yrs

Oh, my mistake I thought you had been carrying for awhile. And if you've been carrying all this time without a gun belt damm.

They make such a big difference and I like supporting handmade US products when posible.

Classy belt man, nice and discreet.

You'll appreciate it even more when you have to "shake a tit" out in town and your piece is held up by the rigidity as if you were wearing it.

I have an Ares enhanced ranger belt and original SOE EDC belt and the ranger belt is way stiffer. I love them both but I like that the ares doesn't sag when it's undone.

I have been carrying for a long while but until now I never had a designated carry belt so this is a world apart from what I am use to but so far its :good:

Thanks man. So far my buddy hugh is 3 for 3 on the suggestions he has made to me lol...

#1 Suggested a Rock Island...I bought a R.I. and love it

#2 Corbon dpx...I bought it for my .45 and love it

#3 A&G leather belt... Bought this and LOVE it. What made it even sweeter is this was a wholesale belt that he had started on and the person changed their order so he knocked the price WAY down for a BRAND new belt that would have been $100 if I had ordered a built to order one

Hugh said it would make a difference as well. BOY OH BOY did it ever . Today was the 1st time wearing it out in town with my 1911. I was out and about for probably 5 hrs and I noticed an increased level of comfort while carrying . My weapon didn't feel near as heavy and it felt 10x more secured to me than ever before.

I took for granted the difference a true gun belt can make but hell after my 1st day in town . I won't ever again
