Codi Jaycob Brown Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 So im running 4 50 dollar rockford subs just cause i had/have very little money and thought why not. i live in a small town so im like the loudest here. but im looking for something a bit louder without having to mess with my box. all i have for space is the back of my tiny little hyundai accent which currently takes up the whole back hatch.
yurvalentine Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 What kind of space do you currently have? What is your current box size/tuning? For that matter what are these RF subs specifically? The more info you can give the better.
Codi Jaycob Brown Posted September 30, 2014 Author Report Posted September 30, 2014 the box right now is 6 cubes or so 1.4-1.5 a chamber id have to go look at the measurements. and theyre prime r2d4 10's being powered by an xtant x1001
Codi Jaycob Brown Posted September 30, 2014 Author Report Posted September 30, 2014 the amp is rated at 500@4 1000@2 and 1000@1 i have the subs wired down to 2 ohms but ive heard on multiple occasions that these x1001's put out more than 1k
Codi Jaycob Brown Posted September 30, 2014 Author Report Posted September 30, 2014 nothin? okay den..
islandpride684 Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 So you want new subs that is louder than your current subs but should be compatible with the old box using the same amp? Did I miss anything? Well my friend, I would name a lot but then that requires me to do the work for you..google is your friend... Broke_Audio_Addict Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 Did you have a budget in mind? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
SIDE SHOW Posted October 1, 2014 Report Posted October 1, 2014 decent amp, look at some dd subs 2510's or the model below
Codi Jaycob Brown Posted October 2, 2014 Author Report Posted October 2, 2014 not necessarily the same box im willing to build a new one but like the bigges box i could fit would be 6 cubes total.
PortSideAudio Posted October 2, 2014 Report Posted October 2, 2014 I would suggest Fi, because their Q series behave very well in a small enclosures. If the boxes are sealed I would go with their IB series those are designed to be in smaller sealed enclosures. 2002 Toyota Corolla Pioneer DEH-80PRS Soundqubed Q1-2200d Soundqubed HDC3.118 Soundqubed Q4-120 Alpine SPR-60 Alpine SPR-60C
