Help wasn't needed because OP posted that he had switched the crossover to high pass and now it was working fine. Though I'm sure dumping 200$ into a magical distortion sensor would have solved that for him too. well if you want to know what products i have i have an american bass 15 year old 15 inch competition subwoofer which is mint condition no issues at all and a 15 year old ferinheight amp these devices are quite enough for what i need i dont need all the top of the line products, i highly agree with hispis i do not have the money to afford the dd-1 and anything that would make my life less o a heart ache, i work full time just trying to make a living and cant dump 200$ in any of those because if i could trust me i would have gotten it years ago along with all top of the line subs, amps, and speakers. and i literally almot died when i though i broke it because i would have been not able to replace it. As I suspected, the amp could be replaced for less money than the tool, and I would say that if it sounds good it is good. Believe it or not, a good percentage of people with aftermarket audio don't just max out the gain and try to play everything at max volume..... Oh, and there's a few SMD products in the area, you should have showed up to a couple of the NESPL shows this year.
