Rite on Im wanting tuning around 40 so 1.7 cf per driver after displacement.

Those subs like 2-2.5 net 1.7 is going to be small, I'd do 4 instead of six. You'll be much happier with less subs in the correct size enclosure than more in a undersized enclosure.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

With the measurements he gave, presuming he can use all of the space provided, it comes out to over 2.7 cu. ft. gross per chamber after wood thickness..... assuming my math is correct lol. With that airspace in a wall, wouldn't that be enough for all 6? I know it would be pushing it but it sounds like he already has all 6, so he could utilize all of the subs.... Might be too tight of a fit, but there's always cardboard to make a mock-up box....

Then again, port space for six 12's is going to be quite a bit and may only yield a little over 2 cubes net space.... I would say mock one up with some cardboard, see what your airspace is like and if it isn't at least 2.2 cubes per chamber, 4 would sound better. And won't aero ports use less space for the same tuning?

Make a cardboard dummy box in the car and measure that. Max dimensions change a lot once you get to building.

From there figure gross volume with 2-3baffles. Subtract the subs and figure out the port. Subtract the port and do bracing. After bracing and all of the above you have net. If not above 2cuft per sell 2 and buy electrical upgrades.

1 t400.2

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

8 equal wall my man, but 6 is definitely do able.To gain the air space simply invert your subs and Voila! I had a t1 12 in a 3.0 cubed box tune to 40-43hz (can't remember )on a kenwood kac 1000rms mono amp I loved it !!!! Good luck do the 6!!!

My thoughts exactly. You may have a 38x36x26 area, but once you get the fit right and add interior boards, ports and bracing, that area goes down a lot. Also good idea above about inverting the subs. They look cooler too IMO.

Then not only would need an extra 9in for the subs to stick out he would only be gaining .6 cubes not enough to really help. If he had the extra 9 inches he would be better of making the box 9in bigger
