KiKaZz74
I have a friend wanting me to bed liner his truck bed. The only 3 options I have are duplicolor bed armor spray cans, duplicolor bed armor roll on, or herculiner roll on. What will hold up the best? I'd prefer to do the bed and tail gate in roll on and then spray the bed rails. What will hold up the best? He was wanting me to spray the whole bed but it'll take like 10 cans it sounds like. It's a regular bed 1500. Idk make. Anyways what do you guys think? Option 1- spray cans. $120-150 Option 2- duplicolor roll on and spray rails $105 Option 3- herculiner roll on and spray rails in duplicolor $95 For the roll on jobs I'd charge like $150 and the all spray I'd charge probably $200. I'd like to get an actual kit and spray gun it but can't talk him into it. What does everyone think? Vote above. also do you think that's a good price to charge? Any experience with any of the above? Hopesndreams
In my experience and being around professionals that use the good stuff, your best bet is to use a spray gun but if your friend wont go for it then i would suggest roll on. But bottom line is prep work makes all the difference. I've seen so many people do it themselves and within months or a few years it starts chipping right back off and looks like crap L
KiKaZz74
When I did my rails it said use like 220 grit to rough it up. I went with 60 or 80 grit to give it extra bite. It's heled up great so far. Been a year and a half. No fading just don't get wax on it or it turns it white. I'd do the same most likely. Heavy grit and block sand it or something. And wipe with the prep spray. CleanSierra
Herculiner sucked for me. I world never run it again. I'm no stranger to prep work, I knocked down all the shine from my bed and still had issues within a year of it lifting. Get SEM Rock it liner if you can. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

hdorre
And is it a gritty texture? Or a bumpy but flatter? I was looking into Rock-It-Liner a few months ago.. and did a great amount of research. I dont have hands on experience.. but had the same question. From what I remember hearing, I can tell you this.. The texture depends on the PSI that you're shooting with and how close the gun is to whatever you're shooting... But mainly PSI.
