gckless Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Possibly high voltage. I know my DC 2.0k used to do that when my alt was charging at 15.2V when it was cold. All it takes is a little bit of condensation forming on the inside of the amplifier and boom, you'll kill it. Then again, so does a DC 2.0k and mine would shut off above 15.1V if I tried playing it at any volume above whisper. DC's reason was that different amps have different tolerances.
