Most drivers are designed for the whole door to be the enclosure--pretty much infinite baffle. Those are mostly for applications where you want to protect the driver from water intrusion or have no better way of isolating the front and rear waves. We've cut them in half and used them as a roof rather than an enclosure and it works okay. Keep the mid and tweeter together. Don't add a second tweeter in the door if that was the question. Static drops are my bag.

Which RF series twtrs are they? A few factors are involved, like crossover points, freq & how you plan to run them. As for the foam baffles i have seen Steve Meade use them in his Lexus and in his sons build for protection but i agree they reduce midbass IMO. Not that i have tried them but i have sealed the shit out of my doors with metal, sound deadened and acoustic foam which really brought the midbass out of my speakers from the doors. Where did you get the speaker pods and where are they suppose to go? Anything like that will work best with something to give it more mass to make it a bit more solid. Using sound deadener is a great way to help.
milburyl Posted November 17, 2014 Author Report Posted November 17, 2014 They are the punch series and are from the year 1999. They are silk domes, as are the CDT'S. I am using the crossovers that came with the CDT'S. They are a 3 way passive crossover for midbass, midrange and tweeters. I have them pictured on page 1.

After a lot of thought and putting a plan together, I think I am ready to take the plunge. More pics later. Am also strongly considering building a new sub box, the only thing holding me back is the fact that I have over $300 into the box and shipping that I have now, which is actually a really nice, well made box with a cool W7 logo engraved on it.

As I said earlier, I didn't get the flush mount hardware with the CDT'S, only the angled surface mount trim.

Looking at pics was a distraction. lol If you can order the CDT flush mount that would work right?
