Im adding a BC3500D but am unable to upgrade the alternator or add a second. I was thinking of using a xs D3100 and 2 Farad 1000w caps? The explorer is only driven about 3-4 times a week. Any thoughts?

This would be the ideal scenario at least... Why can't you upgrade your alt? Crescendo BC3500D, xs D3100, 2 1 farad 1000w caps, 2 M3 Memphis mojo 15" (1k rms 2k peak) and the stock Sony 12 speaker 390 watt stereo. I'll have to back to you on the voltage.
bighossf150 Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 I ran a bc3500 on a d6500, 2 xp3000's and a stock alt and it was fine. Used to have a loud truck 2009 Corvette Z06, H/C/I, 150 shot, g force tune, 730rwhp/690rwtq 2013 F-150 limited, MPT Tune, leveled on 35"s
