Box has four power acoustik mofos dual four ohm subs,wired at two ohms. On a lanzar opt110001d amp 1 ohm stable. Box specs are FB = 33 Hz , VB = ft ^ 3. If i knew the amp would do a half ohm load i would have no problems. So i'm looking for four dual two ohm subs to wire to one ohm that would work well in this box. subs in question are sound qubed hdc3.115's, massive audio hippo 152d and orions xtr pro 152d. If anyone knows that my 110001d would do a half ohm load daily i might be tempted to try it. If not which sub would do the job in this box. Thanks in advance for any input given.
Joe X Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 I have a record of a 16 cubic feet box tuned to 33 Hz in a tahoe, HDC3 subs will optimize at higher tuning, there are many subs that will work in 4 net each. I would get D2 subs to have a final load of 1 ohm. Sub suggestions will depend on your budget, I would not recommend running amps well below stable impedance except for amps that are known to be capable to do so.
