OrionStang
no, never had it tested. When I first got it I was just running standard battery up front with the 270 iraggi on a t40001bd @ 2ohm. Voltage stayed good and never had a problem with it. Lucky. You're one of the few LOL. Miguels
Eh, a 230A alt is fine for that power imo.. Id BARELY expect to drop into rest, even idling.. With my two setups (Ampere 3800 and Flatline FL2 at 1 ohm), I dropped to low 13s at idle. Note that the boxes were different in the two installs. I have a 230A alt, thats rated for like 180A what voltage meter did you have and was it wired to the amp? another thing. is the alt hairpin my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
Hotdog
I was lucky that I was also able to contact him by phone and talk to him also. Like I said it was about a year before the shit hit the fan with him and the disappearing act. hdorre
First setup, I used a Stinger VM. 2nd setup, I had a SMD VM1. Meter pos wire went into amps pos input, and gnd went to amps gnd. My alt is a 3 phase. Singer didnt feel comfortable with a HP. hdorre
huh? 3 phase is less efficient, so your point's invalid On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
Miguels
huh? 3 phase is less efficient, so your point's invalid its valid. not enough HP to spin a 350A alt lol i still think he needs 270. the DC 3.5k needs around 207 amps for music plus what the car needs should push him over the 300a.. 230 worked for you but it dont mean it will work for him. every setup is different.. still i agree with a singer or mechman alt.. DC is good but it takes long to get one from them my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
hdorre
lol damn you guys and your monstrous alt cases I agree that every setup is different. I had 2 diff setups entirely (port area, tuning, net volume, amps, amp locations, etc). Maybe I got "lucky" with rise.. idk On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
