But if I could do 1 ohm I'll save money with the P1000.1 And maybe I'm over thinking things. Will 25 ft of 1/0 be enough for a ford expedtion 2002? And if it is will there be extra for the big 3
Aj11 Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 http://m.ebay.com/itm/131264815402?nav=SEARCH here's a good 4 channel that will keep up nicely with up to 2500w sub stage. http://m.ebay.com/itm/361147252728?nav=SEARCH this amp will do everything that rf will and more! http://m.ebay.com/itm/400772345388?nav=SEARCH these subs are great! everyone here will say the same. plus if you add up the price that's just about the price of your t1500 alone. if you can spend $3000 the amp and subs (great fing amp and subs that i would put 750w to) are gonna cost you about $700 now you have $2300 left for bat ($250ish) singer alt($450ish) all your wire($250ish, including fuses, distro, rc, ect) add all that up and you got what a extra $1,000 to spend. so you have a G to play with for speakers, a 4channel amp, box and deck. but the gear i listed above is awesome stuff. run at 1ohm and enjoy for years. also you need more wires. 25ft for bat run, 3 feet for ground, at least 6ft for big 3. i would get 30ft of 1 color and 6ft of another. http://m.ebay.com/itm/291261362472?nav=SEARCH and heres a great battery. paired with a singer alt 200/250amp would supply you power for years. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

JCruz1991 Posted December 14, 2014 Author Report Posted December 14, 2014 Well after finding the cheapest I can find on ebay. I'm able to get it all for 3500 and that's including a set of performance brakes the mechman alternator 270A the xs d6500 40 ft of 0 gauge both power and ground. 50 ft of 12 awg speaker. 20 terminals with shrinks Kenwood DDX371 with mounting and harness. 2 trunk packs of damplifier pro. 3 fuses and fuse holder since I couldn't find a way for a distributor that outputs 1/0 awg. 50 ft of remote wire (which is all they sold it doesn't come per foot but it's only 9 bucks) Both front and rear speakers. Front comps and rear coax. the t1500 the p600 the 2 p3's with a box at 32hz and a partridge in a pear tree.
islandpride684 Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 Is there a reason you went with ebay? And plus prefab boxes suck ass... Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
JCruz1991 Posted December 14, 2014 Author Report Posted December 14, 2014 Is there a reason you went with ebay? And plus prefab boxes suck ass... My friend at work. I was talking to him, he's got a chrysler 300c. He said he bought his stuff on ebay and it was reliable. He recommended the store and I checked it out and he has positive reviews with warranties. And I know prefab sucks I wanted the Rockford one enclosure, but they say it doesn't do the P3's any justice. And that is from videos on youtube, most say they expected more from the actual devs of the system. But I guess I should of asked here with the professionals. BTW some of the items on my cart are sonic electronix which sucks because they sell at the same market value haha, but it's all on one cart and it gave me the amount in total so I won't go around from cart to cart. The alt the second skin i'm buying off the actual site. Singer never sent me a quote and the other that was recommended to me was more expensive.
Hifonics Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 I may have missed it but what brand of alt are you going with? We've all been where you are... The guys are right, you'll be wanting to upgrade very soon if you buy that gear. You want headroom... buy a better amp, better subs, and build your own box tuned to your musical preference. And for the love of god, don't a run 4ohm load. Why buy extra bats, alts, blah blah, and run a t1500 at 4ohms? Waste of money. Plus, I challenge you to hear the difference between 1 ohm and 4 ohms with today's quality of sound processing on amps. If someone came up to me at a show and said "hey man I've got a 270amp alt, battery bank and a sick setup" and gave me a demo of all that feeding a pair of 12's a 4ohms I would laugh inside asking myself if this person is simple. If you only have this one shot at a system (which in all honesty is ridiculous... the whole thing about your wife buying 10 pairs of the same shoes but you can't do anything), you're gonna want to listen to the advice you're being given by people who have made the same mistakes in the past (myself included). P3s with a 1500 at 4ohms is "meh" at best and won't keep you happy; especially if you have a bigger vehicle like an Excursion... Alpine is best buy shyte now. They used to be really good but they've gone down the tubes imho. You want to do this right and have it sound awesome? Here's my advice to you: 1. Get yourself a 3500 watts RMS amp or bigger (DC, Sundown, Ampere, Crescendo, SoundQubed, American Bass, etc...) 2. Buy a quality alternator... don't skimp out. This is the heart that makes your system beat. (DCPOWER, Mechman, Singer are the only ones I personally would buy) 3. For subs, you can get amazing subs these days... Some brands (DC, Digital Designs, Sundown, Ascendant Audio, Fi, Soundqubed, American Bass, etc...) Just make sure you match the RMS output of the subs to the RMS output of the amp. For a big truck like an excursion I would do 2 15's instead of 2 12's, or one 18. 4. Have you considered running an active setup with pro audio? I recently made the switch and I quite like it. There are mixed feelings on pro audio but I really enjoy it. 5. Build your own box. There are guys on here that can help you with designs in the "enclosures" section of the forum. All you need is a local home depot to buy and cut your wood, some wood clue, nails or screws, a drill, and a jigsaw or router. It's not hard to do at all and it will make your system sound 10x better. It's been said on this forum many times.... 20% equipment, 80% install. I can't stress enough how important the box is when it comes to bass. At this point you've probably already bought the RF stuff and will be running your system at 4 ohms. Best of luck to you. 2010 F150 FX4-18" AA Mayhem-Crescendo BC3500d-Pioneer GM-D9500F 4-channel-2 Crescendo FT1 -2 Crescendo Neo Forte 6.5 -Pioneer AVH-P3300BT-6000K HID Headlights/Fog lights-All LED interior lighting-20% tint on front windows, 1% rear windows, 5% windshield strip-Big3 (XSFlex 0ga) -DC Power 270XP -Group 65 NorthStar AGM battery Coming soon/plans: -Build log-Blacked out mirror reflectors-Tinted tails/3rd brake light
Aj11 Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 i just want to say, please...please...please listen to us! hifoincs is absolutely correct! those p3s are on some Sony Xplod level. i know iowned them. you couldn't pay me to run them. as for running a 1500w amp at 4ohm... thats what 500w rms.. no need for a alt, battery, deadner, 0g... 500w is week... especially for $3000 if i were you, sundown 1500/2500w amp on a fi bl 18d2 in a 5.5cubic ft box at 33hz then with all the other stuff you like. that will cost less And give you more bass then you can handle. if you buy what your planning to... you won't be happy. at least buy dual 4ohm subs so you can drop to 1ohm when you realize you have great electrical with no bass. I'm not being mean, were giving you great advice! i wish some of The kids I've convinced not to buy crap and buy good quality would post here. we've all done this. many times. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
