Me personally, I would say get the alternator first, even though it's not advised to run wet cell's inside a vehicle, just replacing those with better batteries will just keep you in 12's and will constantly need to be recharged, while with the 270, you can actually supply the current to power the system, and hold better voltage(not as well as you would if you had agm batteries with the 270 though) Now if your batteries are in bad shape, then it would be a better idea to replace them then because even with a good charging system, bad batteries will bring your voltage down. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
