Broke_Audio_Addict
600 rms. Quote That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. bentandbroken
They are rated at 600 rms. But If you are pushing CLEAN Power to them up to 1000rms is fine. I have had one on ~1000+ watts for well over a year and it's still running strong. But I also dont beat the hell out it or clip it. *this is for one woofer. So two woofers you could put on 1500 to 2000 watts, but you need to set your gains with a dd-1 and i wouldnt do it on a budget amp. Edited December 19, 2014 by bentandbroken Quote Life's a trip. . . Nealon14
I have had my 2 sa12's on close to 2k watts for a long time and they never got smelly even full tilt for a while. I have them in a 4 cube box after all displacements tuned to 31hz and it sounds good. I would say 1000 watts a sub for a daily application. hispls
If you have to post this thread you have no business using these beyond the manufacturer recommendations. The "right box" isn't going to make a 2.5" coil hold 2000W worth of heat, nor is what brand of amp you use to make that power.
