PaulO2288
I cant seem to find the rules and any explanation on the differences. I know bassrace is 30 second average on music but anyone want to explain db drags? Thanks
mrwigglezdj
bass boxing is 60 seconds , and you can have windows up or down, and you have to use store bought music... and it can not be just test tones the whole song and the highest score (db) wins, bass race is i dunno how many seconds, sealed up meaning no open doors or windows, and you are in classes as well but say you are in the 129 class, that means you have to control your system to make it go to 129db but not go over 129, if you go over the set db you auto loose.... suburban ant
No; Bass Boxing, Street Beat, and Bass Race are pretty much similar. They are an average of loudness of a vehicle playing music for a certain amount of time. DB Drag is simply about loudness, you have 30 seconds to get the loudest score. Ofcourse there are all different classes and rules, but thats the basics. SPLMAX-SAM
For more info on DB Drag and Bass Race, check out www.termpro.com Bass Race is very similar to bracket style car drag racing. In car drag racing, you stage your vehicle and wait for the go signal. You mash down the accelerator and off you go. As you race down the track, you shift the transmission. At the end of the quarter mile you are given your time. Your time is your bracket. On your next run you must compete head to head with another drag racer. You have to try to get as close to your qualifying time without going any quicker. A faster time you lose. Of course you have to beat the competitor next to you. In Bass Race, you stage your vehicle and wait for the go signal. You un-pause your radio and your stereo plays. As the 30 second clock ticks down to zero, you adjust your stereo for a maximum score. At the end of the 30 seconds, your final score is your class. You are now placed in a bracket depending on your score (120.0 - 129.9, 130.0-139.9, 140.0 - 149.9 or 150.0 - 159.9 db). Once you qualified, you now have to compete head to head with other competitor at the same time. On your next run you have to try to get close to the 9.9 (129.9, 139.9, 149.9 or 159.9) without getting any louder and beat the persons score next to you. dwright27
to be competitive in bass race you really need a meter to find out what your car peaks at on a specific song and you have to have a nice long bass note. Amalan
with bass race it takes the average score for the 30 seconds, like itll take the current db every second and average it so it gets harder and harder to bring it to the 1xx.9 range the closer you get to the finish.
