boom50cal
My boss bought my one. Used it while working to take pictures of a junction box without having to crawl through a tiny ass crawl hole. I wondered about one of these. Love the idea of not having to hassle with a air hose constantly, just hate the idea of having to deal with nails only half driven in and dealing with that pain in the ass as the battery dies. Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it. Yeah I had similar concerns but I figured I'd try it. It has a lithium ion battery and my experience with my lithium ion impact drill told me that it should work consistently until the battery is dead and then stop working quickly. Time and more use will tell more. I've only used it for 10mins on some chair rail into drywall and it drove the nails with no problem at all. It has a depth dial as well. I really like it so far and not dragging around a coiled air hose and lugging my 20gal compressor has paid for itself already! 79 cutty
^you will have to keep an update as to how it does over time and with the battery dying. I kind of wondered about battery life and how that would stack up as well. Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Wicks
^you will have to keep an update as to how it does over time and with the battery dying. I kind of wondered about battery life and how that would stack up as well. Still hasn't died yet.... I checked out the packaging as I remember it having a rating on the outside. The packaging advertises that it can shoot 700 nails per charge ....with the high capacity battery. Of course it came with the standard battery. The high capacity battery lists 4Ah (700 nails). The standard battery doesn't list a charge spec at all strangely but its roughly half the size so I'd ball park it then at 2Ah. If so then maybe 350 nails which in my book is still amazing. The manual specifically states that the battery will provide full power until its dead when the white LEDs (it has illuminating LEDs) will start to flash, telling you to charge/install a full battery. Either way this thing is impressing the hell out of me. One of the coolest tools I've bought in a while. I'll keep using it and if there are no issues I'll post something in the Tools section.
