noobslayer77 Posted January 2, 2015 Report Posted January 2, 2015 i hear ya loud and clear man... i get shit on all the time when im just seeking advice from experts... it seems to be a common theme. one time i asked how loud it is when smoke vibrates in the car and everyone responded telling me it was a lame question and that i was stupid. i thought it was damn near the coolest thing i had ever seen. another time i asked about how to find impedance rise and all anyone could do was give bashful comments and ask why i thought i needed to know... shit i was just curious and wanted to learn more. apparently you have to be a serious competitor to be elligible to learn about it. lol. i have found other forums much more helpful and much less condescending... its a shame, because the reason that steve started this forum was for people seeking help to get it. i think alot of people forget that. everyone who is on any car audio forum shares the same love for music and bass... and anyone who loves that is someone that i like. ill talk to anyone and try and learn from/ help regardless of whether they have 2 sony xplods or a wall of 18's. we are all doing it for the same reason... passion for the music and that ridiculous wobble. best of luck to ya man. keep on bumpin! 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries

I agree, seems the only people that are credible to seek advice here, are the ones that dont need it. A lot of people have won a few comps, dumped a few Gs into their setup and get huge heads on them, thinking everyone else are inferior. Usually making up for something else they're lacking in life, but that's none of my business lol. Point is, I have been polite, respectful and always followed the rules exactly! I don't flood the feed with dumb questions, I asked twice about an amp for the same subs, two months apart. Things changed, there were reasons... people act like it's a crime! Step 2: Select from a list of good brands For example:JBL,Rockford Fosgate, JL audio, Sundown audio, Kicker, Pioneer, Alpine, MTX, Cerwin Vega,Soundqubed, Rainbow, Audison, Hertz,.. Step 3: Check their prices (and looks if that interests you). Step 4: Decide on which one you want and don't come asking if you should buy X or Y eventhough they both are good amps. Step 5: Learn how to properly set gains and crossovers. Step 6: Enjoy and don't say all the time that you got X amp and everything from brand X is amazin and it's the best thing ever. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.

Now if budget isn't a huge issue, I'd look at Crescendo or DC personally. To ensure it won't turn into a Vs thing.... If you're looking to spend under 800.... Soundqubed If you're looking to spend over 800..... DC If your build involves the color scheme of Orange.... 'Nendo If you're looking for super budget cheap cheap..... Save up some money because it'll be worth it.
